The Law Society of Northern Ireland is delighted to announce that the first Women in the Law and Business Conference will take place on Friday 14th September 2012 in the new and exciting Titanic Building in Belfast.
The current business environment in which the profession as a whole operates is challenging. The Women in Law Conference will look at the particular challenges faced by women in progressing their career and promoting their interests.
The discussion will be led by a series of experienced, high profile and interesting speakers including:
- Arlene Foster, MLA, Minister for the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI)
- Her Honour Judge Janet Case
- Her Honour Judge Patricia Smyth
- Senator Ivana Bacik
- Presiding District Judge Fiona Bagnall
- Maria McCloskey, Northern Ireland Young Solicitors
Further guest speakers will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The Conference will explore issues such as the balance of women in legal partnerships, career advancement, women as leaders and business structures.
The Conference is a unique and exciting opportunity to hear motivational and inspirational speakers discuss these important, relevant and topical issues.
It has been priced at £85 for 5 hours of General Group Study CPD which is excellent value for money. Places at the Conference are limited and shall be allocated on a first come first served basis. Male solicitors are encouraged to attend the conference also.
