Winners of Solicitor Recognition Awards Announced
The winners of the Law Society of Northern Irelands, Solicitor Recognition Awards were announced at the Society's Annual Dinner on 2nd December 2011 at the Culloden Hotel.
The Awards were successfully launched in 2009 to recognise the most outstanding practitioners in the solicitors’ profession in Northern Ireland and recognise excellence both at individual and at practice or team level. The year’s winners were presented with their awards by the President of the Law Society, Mrs Imelda McMillan and Dame Joan Harbison CBE.
This year’s winners included, Niall Hargan from Carson McDowell solicitors who received his award for Junior Solicitor of the year. The legal team from Kainos Software who received the award for Inhouse legal or specialist team of the year award. Richard Murphy from Edwards and Co who received the President’s Award from Imelda McMillan, President of the Law Society and Dame Joan Harbison. The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland and Carson McDowell were also presented with commendations for their entries for Inhouse legal or specialist team category.
Commenting on the winners the President of the Law Society, Mrs Imelda McMillan said:
“I wish to thank those solicitors and firms who entered the awards this year and congratulate the winners of the Solicitor Recognition awards 2011”.
