Will you? Won't you?
How do YOU ask your clients about leaving a gift in their Will to charity? Join Tim McGarry for a light-hearted look at the ways solicitors and Will writers approach the topic of leaving a gift in a Will to charity. The Will to Give team will share great some things people have left to charity before we hear first hand how gifts in Wills in Northern Ireland have made a difference to so many local people and groups.
Where there's a Will, there's a way
Last year, gifts in Wills to local charities helped many charitable causes provide support to local families and communities. We are only able to do this, thanks to you asking your clients if they would like to leave a gift in their Will as a lasting legacy to Northern Ireland.
Despite 44% of people in Northern Ireland stating that they are 'open' to the idea of leaving a charitable gift when they get around to making their Will, only 9% of local people who make a Will here actually leave a gift to charity. Will To Give is working to increase engagement with local people and we're asking you to pledge your support to ask EVERY client who comes to you to make their Will, to consider leaving a gift to a charity or charities of their choice.
NB* If you are unable to attend this event, but would like to pledge your support, please email Will To Give at E: info@willtogive.org for more information.
