The majority of reported sexual offences in Northern Ireland are committed against children and young people.  This event will provide an opportunity to hear The Right Honourable Sir John Gillen discuss the findings of his independent Review into the law and procedures in serious sexual offences in relation to child victims.

Mr Bragi Guðbrandsson who pioneered the Barnahus child centred multi-agency model which was developed in Iceland and is promoted by the Council of Europe will also be speaking.  Mr Guðbrandsson will begin his term as a member of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child on 1 March 2019.
