COVID-19 advice on property transactions in Northern Ireland

Speak to your solicitor if you are buying or selling a home

The Law Society of Northern Ireland has said that buyers or sellers involved in a property transaction in Northern Ireland should immediately contact their solicitor to discuss their own specific circumstances and options.

The Society, which represents solicitors in Northern Ireland, has given guidance in response to the potential impact of COVID-19 on property transactions in Northern Ireland.

Commenting, the President of the Law Society of Northern Ireland, Rowan White said:

“The Society recognises that there will be many clients who will be very unsure as to what to do during this period of uncertainty. Our message is simple.

We would encourage all clients, whether  already involved in a property transaction or considering buying or selling, to contact their solicitor immediately.”
