An update on defamation and privacy issues arising out of the use of Social Media

This session will be delivered by Emma Hunt, Director, Mills Selig, Belfast. Within Mills Selig, Emma has developed a practice in advising on issues arising out of the use of social media and other online forums. Emma has acted for a local company in one of the first reported decisions in this jurisdiction involving defamatory publications on Facebook.

This session will be delivered by Kiera Lee, Director, Mills Selig, Belfast.

Kiera is head of the Employment department at Mills Selig, and has over 15 years’ in-depth experience in this complex, fast-changing area of law. She acts mainly for employers on tribunal cases and on how to avoid them. Additionally, she provides support to the Mills Selig Corporate team, giving expert advice on employment aspects of restructuring and acquisitions.

These sessions will run back to back – delegates can attend one session or both sessions. If attending both sessions there will be a reduced fee of £60.
