In October 2012 the Society ran a hugely successful series of seminars in relation to various aspects of risk management. The attendance by and feedback from members was excellent – with the Belfast session of the series being completely oversubscribed. As such the Society have organised a repeat of this session to accommodate those who could not get a place on the original Belfast event or those who missed the events first time round. Risk management is a term all legal professionals are familiar with – however implementing strategies and systems to avoid or minimise risk in a way that is relevant and beneficial to your firm can be challenging. As reflected in previous CPD programmes, the Society recognises the importance of Risk Management. It is continuing to support members through a series of activities to address topical and relevant issues. This event will involve several speakers covering a wide range of very important topics including: - An overview of the Master Policy - Claims trends - Claims avoidance - Regulatory and compliance risks - Co-regulation - The Consumer Credit Act - Client Complaints information - Bain legislation - Conflicts of Interest - Separate representation - Forensic accounting - The Bribery Act - Human Resources and risk management There will be input from a range of senior personnel including Law Society Senior Staff, representatives from Marsh Ltd and Panel Solicitors. This repeat session will take place on Thursday 13th December 2012 in Law Society House, Belfast. |
