Restorative Practices Forum (NI) 25th Anniversary Conference

The Restorative Practices Forum (NI) has finalised the full programme for the major 25th Anniversary International Conference on the 14-15 of November 2019 at the Park Avenue Hotel in Belfast.

At a recent meeting at NI Alternatives offices in Belfast, his Honour Judge David Smyth, (one of the founder members of the Restorative Justice Forum in the early nineties), highlighted the benefits to lawyers of attending the conference.

Commenting he said,

"There is an outstanding range of speakers in plenary and workshop sessions sharing best practice across a variety of sectors, including the criminal justice system and in particular youth justice and youth conferencing, victim awareness, and family group conferencing.

There will be a look at problem solving courts and a restorative approach to future Hate Crime legislation, all just part of a detailed programme that will surely add to our already high quality and innovative restorative approaches in key areas."

Solicitors attending the conference will be eligible to claim up to 9 CPD hours.
