Criminal Justice Secure Email (CJSM) system

This notice is for existing Children Order Panel members and those who wish to apply for membership of the Children Order Panel in the future

Solicitors wishing to be re-accredited to the Society’s Children Order Panel or who wish to apply for accreditation in the future are hereby notified that the Children Order Panel Accreditation Board will require that all members of the Children Order Panel must be registered with the Criminal Justice Secure Mail (CJSM) system.

This requirement will be effective for all applications for re-accreditation and accreditation when the new Children Order Panel is put in place on 1st November 2017.

The Children Order Panel Accreditation Board have noted that there may be exceptional circumstances as to why a solicitor is unable to register with CJSM. If any member falls within these exceptional circumstances, they should contact the Board as soon as possible and provide details. Any such members will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Intending CJSM applicants should refer to this link on the DoJ’s website - https://www.justice-ni.gov.uk/articles/cjsm-secure-email-system

Members can apply for registration with CJSM via the on-line application at: https://www.cjsm.net/ApplicationHome.do

Applicants require a sponsor for registration with CJSM and NICTS provide sponsorship for solicitors in Northern Ireland. When registering applicants will be prompted for the details of a sponsor and should enter the following information:

Leslie Millar, NICTS, Laganside House, Oxford Street, Belfast, BT1 3LA

Email address: webmasternicts@courtsni.gov.uk

One sponsor is sufficient for the application.
