Ready, steady and go

Legal Walk / Run

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you to those participating in tomorrow’s Legal Walk / Run in support of The Boom Foundation.

In advance of tomorrow here is a reminder of FAQ’s.

How do I register my attendance and collect my t-shirt?

You can register and collect your t-shirt on Friday 28 June between 2.00pm & 3.45pm at the stand beside the Bar Library.

What time does the walk start and finish?

The event will be open from 3.30pm.

Those opting to run the route will start at 4pm with walkers starting at 4.05pm.

How far is the walk/run?

The route is approximately 5km/3.1 miles long please see the map below.

Where does the walk start and end?

The walk will start at the pedestrian precinct outside the High Court, crossing Oxford Street and following the path along the river to Titanic Quarter.

The route is circular so you will return to the finish point which is located just in front of the Bar Library.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that participants please be careful when crossing road junctions and be aware of other pedestrians and road users.

Once you have completed the walk run join us for a celebratory burger afterwards at The National in High Street.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We constantly monitor the weather forecast in the lead up to and throughout the day of the event.

Please dress appropriately and wear sensible footwear.

The Legal Walk / Run event would only be cancelled in the case of very extreme weather. If the event is cancelled all participants will be contacted via phone and email, and an announcement would go out on the Law Society’s social media channels.

What time is the BBQ at the National?

A private BBQ for participants will take place in the Garden Tent at the National Bar straight after the walk / run.

At registration you will be given a ticket which you will exchange for your food.  Due to the popularity of the event, we are expecting many of our participants to attend the National, so we ask for your patience while the food is served.

Guests will be expected to purchase their own drinks.

Thanks again for your participation and we are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!
