Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland

The Executive Office is seeking applications for the post of Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland. An advertisement has been placed in the local, national and international press from today (copy attached).

Applications are welcomed from all backgrounds regardless of religious belief, gender, disability, ethnic origin, political opinion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or whether or not you have dependents.

However, it is recognised that women, people under 30 years of age, minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities are under-represented on the boards of public bodies and to encourage applications from people in these categories, the Department is also issuing this notice to groups and organisations which are connected or involved with under-represented groups.

Information about the post, including an application form, can be obtained from the Department’s website at www.executiveoffice-ni.gov.uk/PONI or by contacting the Police Ombudsman Appointment Team on: 028 90378693 or by email to poapps@executiveoffice-ni.gov.uk.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 12.00 noon GMT 12 December 2018.
