Opening of New Office for Law Society of Northern Ireland

Representatives from the judiciary, the legal profession and the business community were among invited guests who attended the official opening of the new Law Society House in Belfast on Thursday.

Representatives from the judiciary, the legal profession and the business community were among invited guests who attended the official opening of the new Law Society House in Belfast on Thursday.

The new offices of the Law Society of Northern Ireland were officially opened by His Honour Judge Tom Burgess the Recorder of Belfast and former President of the Society.

After twelve years of planning and two years of construction the Society has 21st Century building offering business, library, lecture hall and consultation room facilities for use by its solicitor members. 

Speaking at the official opening of the new building, Mr Barry P Finlay, President of the Law Society said:

We are delighted to be celebrating the official opening of the new Law Society House and our return to the centre of the legal quarter in Belfast. The new building underscores the Society's commitment to the current and future members of the solicitor profession.
