Mutual Recognition Instruments in the European Judicial Area

The European Centre for Judges and Lawyers, the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Luxembourg, has been awarded, under the Specific Criminal Justice programme 2007-2013, a project on "Mutual Recognition Instruments in the European Judicial Area”.

The project is partially financed by the DG Justice of the European Commission and our partners are

-         Domstolstyrelsen in Denmark and

-         Consiliul Superior al Magistraturii in Romania.

The target group will be judges, prosecutors and defence lawyers.

The project foresees the organisation of a total of 3 seminars, the second seminar being held in Bucharest, on 11-12 November 2014 and dealing with Mutual recognition in sanctions: Financial penalties, probation decisions and sanctions, protection order.

The working language of the seminar will be English.

While the project will pay for the registration fees, travel and per diem costs including conference packages will have to be covered by the referring participant him/herself.
