Mr Wishart Mills, Solicitor and former Resident Magistrate.


It is with regret that the Law Society of Northern Ireland notifies members of the passing of Mr. Wishart Mills, Solicitor and former Resident Magistrate.

Mr. Mills passed away on the 13th January 2018 aged 95.

He graduated from Queens University in the 1940s and did his apprenticeship in Macintosh & Bradley, Newtownards in the mid-40s.

In the early 1950's he took up a partnership in Strabane in the firm of Thomas Elliott & Son and remained there until 1969.

In 1969, he was appointed a Resident Magistrate and for most of the next 20 years, he sat in North Down until his retirement in 1990.

The Law Society extends its sincere condolences to his family, friends and former colleagues.

Funeral Service in Dunluce Parish Church, Bushmills on Thursday at 2.00pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.
