President of Law Society of Scotland – speaking at CPD seminar

The Society is committed to providing practical, useful and helpful advice and guidance to members.  We are delighted to announce that on 5 June 2013 Mr Austin Lafferty, President of the Law Society of Scotland will address members on many of the issues close to the hearts of all practitioners – financial planning, running a business, reacting and adapting to difficult economic conditions and business development.  He will refer to the Law Society of Scotland publication “From Recession to Upturn” – the 2010 financial management and strategy document for law firms.

We are all acutely aware of the economic difficulties currently faced by all businesses - and unfortunately solicitors firms are not exempt.  Over the past few years the Society has provided as much support as possible to our members and will continue to do this through a series of ongoing practical seminars addressing topical issues.

To increase accessibility and facilitate as many members as possible the seminar will run in the following locations:

  • 12pm – 2pm              Strangford Arms, Newtownards
  • 3pm – 5pm                Lecture Hall, Law Society House, Belfast

Refreshments and registration 15 mins prior to each event.

Places at this seminar will be limited.  The seminar will be free of charge and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
