Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI Board Apprenticeship Scheme 2022

Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI is the only charity in Northern Ireland dedicated to blood cancer research. We fund scientists and clinicians who are experts in their field as they work to understand how blood cancers develop and find better methods of treatment. Their aim is to improve the outcome and quality of life for all patients affected by leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other related conditions.

Every day in Northern Ireland 3 people are diagnosed with blood cancer. It is the 5th biggest cancer in NI and the 3rd most fatal. Blood cancer can affect all ages but it is the most common cancer for those under 30. The research funded by LLNI is vital to ensure that people of all ages survive blood cancer.

LLNI is led by a dedicated Board of Directors who use their skills and expertise to ensure the charity operates with good governance and the money raised by supporters is used to fund innovative and beneficial research.

They are seeking two enthusiastic volunteers to join as apprentice members for a two year term, volunteers would be required to attend monthly board meetings either online or in person at the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside the experienced board of a successful charity and to use your skills and ideas to help LLNI fund blood cancer research in Northern Ireland.

If you are interested in the position or would like any further information, please email info@llni.co.uk
