Legal Eagles Win Client Counselling Competition 2014

In early February 2014, two teams of legal professionals from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queens University and from the Graduate School of Professional Legal Education, University of Ulster at Magee battled it out to win the regional Heat of the Client Consultation Competition.
The competition has been successfully ran by the Law Society over the last number of years and this year’s competition theme was Commercial Contracts.
Both teams were tasked with interviewing a client who who had a problem with a contract.
The judging panel was made up of Mr David Gaston, retired solicitor and Mr Colin Mitchell, partner MTB and Chair of BSA who marked the teams on theor approach and style.
Finally the winner was announced as the Graduate School of Professional Legal Education.
They will now proceed to the final of the Louis M. Brown and Forrest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition which is in Puerto Rico between the 8-12 April 2014.
