Law Society wins prestigious international human rights prize
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has been named the ‘Bar of the Year 2024’ at an awards ceremony in Rome.
The Ludovic-Trarieux International Human Rights Prize is the oldest and most prestigious award given by lawyers to fellow lawyers in recognition of their work in defending human rights.
This year Myanmar lawyer Ywet Nu Aung was awarded the Ludovic-Trarieux Prize. At the same ceremony the Jury of the Ludovic-Trarieux Prize named the Law Society of Northern Ireland ‘Bar of the Year 2024’ in recognition of the Society's advocacy on behalf of its members and on behalf of the Rule of Law.
