Law Society Response - Court Quashes PSNI’S Decision

Commenting on today's judgement the President of the Law Society of Northern Ireland, Arleen Elliott said:

"It is deeply worrying that a young and seemingly vulnerable boy was not provided with access to a solicitor particularly when an Informed Warning (IW) was being administered. Whilst the Society welcomes the judgement of the Court it is important that assurances are provided from the Justice Minister and the Chief Constable that this sort of incident never occurs again and that access to a solicitor should never be overlooked".
