Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Strategy 2024-28

The Human Rights and Equality Committee are keen to hear the views of the solicitor profession in Northern Ireland on the contents of its draft Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Strategy 2024-28.

The draft DEI Strategy builds upon the actions delivered through the Society’s Diversity and Equality Action Plan 2022 and seeks to address the findings of the research project on reasons why women have left private practice, among other challenges.

It recognises that long-term effort is required and sets out a range of actions aimed at achieving meaningful improvement in the diversity, equality, and equity of the solicitor profession in Northern Ireland.
