GDPR EU - First Tradata Training Event Outstanding Success

The first of two training events on the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took place on Friday 13th April 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast.

The two events are part of the official EU ‘TRADATA project being run in partnership with the Law Society of Northern Ireland.

The Society has partnered with 8 other EU countries to provide comprehensive training on Data Protection Reform (GDPR).

The first TRADA project event was sold out reflecting the interest in GDPR and how it will impact on law firms and their clients.

The event provided attendees with the necessary information to support them during this crucial phase of implementation of GDPR.

Contributors to the event included Clare Bates from Carson McDowell, Eoin O'Dell, Briony Rimmer from Advanced Legal, Steven Goldblatt from Leaf  and James MacGuill.

The next event is at Law Society House in Belfast on Friday 20th April 2018.

The European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25 MAY 2018.
