CORONERS SERVICE FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

APPEAL FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEATH OF

MR SEAMUS BRADLEY ON 31 JULY 1972

The Inquest into the death of Mr Seamus Bradley on 31st July 1972 is listed to commence at Londonderry Courthouse on 11th December 2017. Mr Bradley died as a result of injuries sustained during Operation Motorman in the Creggan area of Londonderry.

The Coroner, His Honour Judge Kinney, requests that if anyone can assist this Inquest in examining this death, they should make contact with the Coroners Service. There may, for example, be persons with relevant information concerning the death but who have not yet brought that information to the attention of the authorities or persons who were in the vicinity of Bishop’s Field or the ‘Creggan Shops’.

A witness surgery is being conducted to facilitate this process on

12th October 2017 at

the Verbal Arts Centre, Stable Lane and Mall Wall, Bishop Street Within, L/Derry between

10am – 7pm

Alternatively any individual who has information in relation to this death is requested to email/write to Coroners Service for Northern Ireland before

1st November 2017.
