Conveyancing week aims to support home buyers
The Law Society of Northern Ireland have announced details of Conveyancing Week 2024
which aims to help create a better understanding of the conveyancing
process for the public and parties involved in the local property
market.
Now in its second year, Conveyancing Week will be taking place from 14th -18th October and will include the Society’s annual Conveyancing Conference in Titanic Belfast, as well as events for law students, property professionals and the public.
All of the events have been designed to highlight the central role of the solicitor in helping people move home.
The
Society is delighted to build on the success of Conveyancing Week in
2023 with a consumer event aimed at supporting those considering buying
and selling homes. A consumer information evening is planned on Thursday
17 October 2024 at 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast.
Those
attending will be able to get an understanding of the common questions
about the legal buying and selling process and mingle with solicitors,
estate agents, and mortgage brokers. Co-ownership will also be present
to answer some common questions about the process.
Launching
Conveyancing week at Law Society House were the Society’s President,
Darren Toombs and Philip Armstrong, conveyancing solicitor and Chair of
the Society’s Conveyancing and Property Committee.
Commenting Philip Armstrong said:
“We
are delighted to be announcing Conveyancing Week 2024 which this year
will have a greater focus on supporting those buying and selling houses
and sharing best practice amongst local conveyancers, estate agents and
surveyors with the aim of building stronger relationships to benefit
clients”.
Full details of Conveyancing Week will be announced shortly.
