Chair (Chief Commissioner) of the Charity Commission NI

The Department for Communities is currently seeking applications from people interested in being appointed as Chair (Chief Commissioner) of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (CCNI).

CCNI is the independent regulator of charities in Northern Ireland and plays a crucial role in their development. The charity sector plays a key and important role, enabling the needs within society to be met, whilst providing a real benefit to us all. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to make a significant contribution to the charitable sector and enable charities to meet modern expectations whilst ensuring that they retain public confidence.

Applications are welcome from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service. We would particularly welcome applications from women, people with a disability, young people and people from minority ethnic groups for these positions. The closing date for applications is Friday 24 May at 12 noon.
