Lawyers with Pride is delighted to announce details on this year’s Belfast Pride Law Lecture, kindly supported by the Human Rights Centre at Queen’s University Belfast. Professor Paul Johnson will deliver this year’s lecture, titled "Popularism, Sexual Orientation Discrimination, and the European Convention on Human Rights”.

The lecture will be in the Canada Room, Queen’s University Belfast, at 5.30pm on Thursday 1 August 2019.

Professor Johnson is Head of the Department of Sociology at York and a leading expert on the the relationship between law, human rights and sexual orientation. His books include “Homosexuality and the European Court of Human Rights” (Routledge 2014) and "Going to Strasbourg: An Oral History of Sexual Orientation Discrimination and the European Convention on Human Rights” (Oxford University Press 2016).
