The property market is slowly showing signs of recovery but with that comes a warning that we should not revisit aggressive risk appetites of the past. Risk management now permeates every level of society from the large corporates to the private individuals and nowhere more so than in the property arena.
This seminar proposes to examine, using case studies, the ways in which title insurance can be used to temper risk exposures within a diverse property transactions. The following topics will be covered:
1. The perfection of title in a portfolio and distressed assets context;
2. Risk coverage adaptation for specialist transactions such as telecoms and renewables;
3. Insurance as an alternative route to property litigation or corrective conveyancing and as a buffer for against professional negligence issues.
