High Court Judge
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for appointment a person must be:
- a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland of at least ten years. standing; or
- a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland of at least ten years. standing
SALARY
Currently is £165,900 per annum. This post attracts a pension under the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993.

Part-time solicitor (17 hours per week) (Ref: SOL/0408)
Initially for a period of 9 months (maternity cover)

The post holder will be part of a busy team and will be required to provide specialist legal support primarily by undertaking casework and providing legal guidance.
Essential requirements for the post include:
- Legal qualification as a solicitor with a minimum of one year post-qualifying experience in Northern Ireland;
- Demonstrated experience of tribunal/court representation;
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of High Court and County Court procedures in Northern Ireland;
Housing Advisor (Ref: HA/0408)
Initially for a period of 12 months
Salary £19,592 - £25,574 (£20,801 - £26,086 from 1st August 2008)
The post holder will be part of a busy casework team and will be required to provide specialist advice, advocacy and representation on housing debt, homelessness and issues relating to renting accommodation. S/he may also contribute to the delivery of training and legal information materials.
Essential requirements for the post include:
- at least 12 months full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience gained over the last five years, in providing advice and representation to the public in a social welfare context;
- demonstrated experience in debt advice;
- experience managing a substantial caseload
