Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The Solicitors Training (Continuing Professional Development) Regulations 2004 came into operation on 6th January 2005. The Regulations apply to all solicitors on the Law Society's roll of solicitors who hold a practising certificate. The Regulations replace the previous CPD scheme which had applied only to solicitors admitted to the roll on or after 6th January 2002.

Course Providers - please submit information on our form

The Society will endeavour to keep members informed of all relevant seminars, but as the events are not normally Law Society events, this list may not be comprehensive. We are dependent upon course providers telling us about seminars using the online form. Please do not email us with course details. The emails have proved problematical because too often important facts were inadvertently omitted - the form should prevent this happening.

Solicitors - please note that registration must be completed with the course providers, not with the Law Society unless otherwise stated.
